10 Weeks Later...

Today the little one is 10 weeks old! Zach is now 12lbs 10oz and 24.5" long (90th percentile for height!). It’s so fun to watch him grow and develop- he’s been smiling for a month now, and boy, can he ham it up! My heart just melts.

A few weeks ago, we had the privilege of dedicating him at church. Our church follows the example of Hannah dedicating Samuel to the Lord in 1 Samuel 1:21-28. Along with some other families, we pledged to raise our child in a way that honors God. Standing at the front of the church, I was just so filled with gratitude, knowing that God has entrusted us with this treasure we have long prayed for.

“I am the very woman who stood here several years ago praying to the Lord. I asked the Lord to give me this boy, and he has granted my request. Now I am giving him to the Lord, and he will belong to the Lord his whole life.”
1 Samuel 1:26-28

This last Sunday we celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary. It was a bittersweet day as it would have been Adam’s 2nd birthday. I’m not sure that having Zachary made the day any easier than last year. If anything, having Zach now makes me realize just how much we missed out with Adam. It does however make me treasure our time with Zach even more. It is truly an honor to be a parent and I hope Zach will always know just how much he means to us and to God.

God has blessed your family giving you the strength for whatever path he takes you on. Be thankful for each moment on earth is a gift for one reason or another. With your strength you taught so many the true meaning of love for another human and the value of each moment. God takes us on journys we might never understand, however our trust in him leads us through each one. Happy anniversary!! Happy 10 weeks Zach and happy BIRTHDAY to your miracle of Adam for he touched the lives of so many with the moments he shared. You my dear sister have touched me with your love and strength. Thank you in so many ways for showing and leading me closer to our Lord and father.
